What to Expect From Your Well Child Visit

Well-child visits are an important time for our healthcare providers to gauge your child’s overall health and developmental progress. When a child is well, we can focus on the whole child, not just acute illnesses. This is a great time to ask questions about your child’s behavior, eating habits or other concerns.

Prior to each well-child visit, we ask that you visit our Patient Portal to complete a developmental survey. It allows us to gain a good understanding of what is going on with your child prior to the visit so that we may structure the appointment accordingly.

Although we are willing to work with our parents and their schedules, we like to encourage our families to schedule their well-child visits in the spring and summer. We have much lower incidences of diseases in the spring and summer so that reduces unnecessary exposure to illness during well-child visits. Please log into the Patient Portal and let us know when a good time for your well child visits would be. We will contact you shortly to confirm your appointment.

Although we strongly encourage the Patient Portal for appointments, we are always willing to take your call and schedule an appointment over the phone.
